Shiny Wax Heads to Texas
We set off to deliver Shiny Wax to Marchione Guitars in Texas, USA.
Stephen Marchione of Marchione Guitars actually has a lot to do with the origin of the Shiny Wax name.
He is known as one of the world's greatest string instrument makers (luthiers), and he uses Nekodamari Kobo's beeswax.
She especially likes Golden Beeswax Wax and Classic Beeswax Wax, and has sent me photos of her using them in her creations. *I will post the photos she sent me at the end of this article.
When I received feedback on Golden Beeswax Wax, it was described as "SHINY, SHINY," and I thought to myself, "When they create a wax that surpasses Golden, the name will be SHINY WAX."
If you think about it objectively, you realize that you have set an incredibly high hurdle for yourself: you have to surpass the texture and luster that the world's top luthiers prefer .
However, after making and delivering over 40,000 units in total, a new worldview began to emerge, so with the discontinuation of Golden Beeswax Wax, we decided to create Shiny Wax.

We thought that if the Shiny Wax surpassed the Clear Beeswax Wax and Golden Beeswax Wax that we had created ourselves, then it could be called a high-end model, but when the Shiny Wax was finished and we tried to package it as usual, it just didn't feel quite right...
After much deliberation, thinking "It looks kind of... dull... I can't see the difference from the clear version...", we decided that "with SHINY WAX, it would be okay if it looked shiny", and so we ended up with a flashy finish.
"It's not a high-end model just because it looks flashy," so please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.
As a result, Nekodamari Kobo has been challenging itself to surpass the best in Shiny Wax, and we are proud to present it as a high-end model. We would like those who have already used Clear Wax to try it out.
