Project Overview

The project involves producing 100 different pickups as prototypes.

At Nekodamari Kobo, we stamp the letter "X" as a temporary name on prototypes before they are made into production, so the project title is "X100".

Aim of the project

By thinking outside the box and taking on the challenge of new materials, structures and manufacturing methods with a playful and adventurous spirit, we aim to expand the possibilities of traditional pickups.

By producing a one-of-a-kind item without having to consider various procedures such as commercialization, we can take on the challenge with a sense of speed. We have already progressed to #010, and plan to complete "X100" by the end of fiscal year 2024.

Key points of the project

・Prototypes available for purchase

Usually, with projects like this, many of the items are prototype samples that are not available for general purchase.

Although there is only one item this time, it will be sold normally, excluding "items provided by other companies" and "items stored for research purposes."

We would appreciate it if anyone who finds the products interesting and valuable would consider making one.

Although the price is more affordable than usual, we offer the same warranty as for our regular products.

・100 production articles published

We will publish a blog post that describes the specs, structure, key points, etc. of the product. We will post a link to the original article for any duplicate content.

I don't have any plans to replace the pickups, but if there are any that have looks or features that catch your eye, I hope you'll enjoy learning about them for some trivia.
